Lily Allen Tacoma Concert reviews
Amazing every time !!!
I have seen the fantastic James Taylor live possibly a dozen times in the last 30 years, and he consistently delivers a flawless performance. The performance itself...With a great band backing JT, never sounded better. Looking around the arena at my fellow Baby-Boomers, I wondered aloud to my wife how many of the people around me had a stage in their life where a Lily Allen song or a Lily Allen album brings memories rushing back. But there is always a slight regret at each performance. With the song catalog that JT has, there is always at least one song that you really want to hear, that he does not perform. For me personally, the song "Steamroller", never fails to bring tears to my eyes as I remember how much that song reminds me of some tough moments in my life...and how the message of that song inspires me every day. But as usual his performance of songs like "You've Got a Friend", and "Whenever I See Your Smiling Face", brought the audience to their feet. For my wife and I, it is any song off the album "JT" that reminds us of the heady days when my wife and I first met in the late 70's, fell in love, and began a relationship that produced four great children and a great 37 year marriage. For me, he is always best sitting on a stool, with just his guitar and that beautiful voice singing about love and loss, hope and despair. At a previous JT concert, JT himself addressed this issue by saying that every one of his songs is like one of his children...sometimes it is hard to choose. Thank you Lily Allen for another wonderful, inspiring performance.
